Plant Queer Social
Come celebrate Plant Pride at Somewhere That’s Gay! (I mean, Green!) This is a sober event and for ages teen and up. There will be custom pride mugs, tea, and pastries for purchase and/or donation. The Plant shop will also be available to shop during these hours as well. There will be performances by a few drag queens, giveaways, and more. Register below for a head count and attendance.

Terrarium Date Night with host Fertile Liza!

In need of a cute date night idea? Come build a terrarium together, drink champagne, eat sweets, and listen to some live music. Your host for the night is none other than miss Fertile Liza herself. Bond your love even deeper by reaching into the soil together, very “Ghost Pottery Scene”, and nurture the plant babies to grow to their fullest potential.
Staghorn Mounting
No more shelf space? Come learn how to build your very own, vertical wall-mounted Staghorn fern Mount! We’ll take cork bark and forest moss (No sphagnum due to environmental impact) to create a natural work of art that can hang on your empty wall space. You then can go forth with your knowledge and mount as many epiphytes or air plants as you like to create a living art gallery. Class should take about an hour, with Ciders from Avid and bubbly water from TopoChico.
Must be fully vaccinated (booster included) to attend.
Late Night Plant Shopping
The last Saturday of every month, StG will be doing a Late Night Plant Shopping event, with a percentage of the proceeds going to a different foundation or cause of choice. No tickets or RSVP necessary. Your host is the plant witch herself, Fertile Liza. There will also be champagne, party lights, and other local queens present for meet and greets. (There will not be any drag performances until the stage area is complete, Est. Fall).

Just like downtown Bend, the Central District is hosting a FIRST FRIDAY event! Join a series of shops located in the “Maker’s District” for sales, events, drinks, and more!
StG will have Macramé artist Maria from “Vineglow” present and the local band, LIGHTERLIGHTS to perform from 6pm-9pm in the Greenhouse event space!
Summer Plant Swap!
Spring plant swap was a hit at our new location! We are now gearing up for our summer plant swap on Aug. 27 from 7-830pm! You can arrive starting 645 and grab a free canned alcoholic or non alcoholic beverage. Capacity 40 people (Please keep +1’s to a minimum).
***A suggested donation at the door***
As usual, bring UP TO 5 cuttings- avoiding common plants, i.e. snake plants, wandering purple vine, pilea, and spider plants. Best to have them rooted or planted in soil and not just in a wet paper towel freshly cut. It’s a super calm and laid back event where you can meet other Bend collectors and lovers. Lasts about an hour. Please register your name below, only people swapping need to register.
