How to make a KOKEDAMA!

What is a Kokedama? Intro Video, ignore my lack of video editing skills haha!

Step 1: Gather Supplies: Moss, Fishing Line, Scissors, and an Epiphytic Plant!

Step 2: Make a ‘moss pancake’ as your base

Step 3: Tease some of the soil off the rootball of your plant

Step 4: Wrap rootball in ‘moss pancake’
*Pro tip: Easier when moss is moist or wetted

Step 5: Tie an anchor around the moss and rootball, keeping it attached to the spool

Step 6: Carefully, grab the moss ball in your left hand, and wrap the moss with the fishing line. Keep the string tight as you wrap. *Aim for the holes or high peaks.

Step 7: Once you have fully wrapped the Kokedama and it has taken the shape you want (Without it being squeezed), you can cut from the spool and tie off to a line on the Kokedama.

Step 8: Make your hanger!

-using your arm length, pull 4 equal lengths of line, without cutting it! Just loop it.

-Then, cutting after the 4th pass, tie off the 4 ends into a knot.

-Flip to the other side and do the same.

-Place one knot, the first one made, with the 2 cut ends, as the base of the Kokedama.

-The two hooped sides, are used to hang from a hook
